[English]

During the Constitutional period, and especially during the Minor Despotism, a number of Azerbaijani villages around Tabriz were targeted by armed forces loyal to the despotic government. The looters, openly opposed to the Constitutional movement and the new socio-economic system, considered the resistance of the villagers as a threat to maintaining their authority and considered punitive measures necessary. These measures continued from the formation of the Constitutional period to the Minor Despotism period, but they did not have a fixed and uniform form. The villages located in the northwest of Tabriz and the villages located along the commercial and trade roads suffered the most damage from the looting. In the villages of Sahlan, Sufian, Anakhatun, Mojumbar, Elche Melik, Alvar, Khajeh Dizaj and Mayan, the amount of damage was so great that the reports of financial and human losses caused concern and concern to many.

The present study, using library resources and historical documents and using a descriptive-analytical method, seeks to answer the question of what connection there was between the looting and burning of villages around Tabriz and the resistance movement against the return of tyranny. The results of the analysis show that the looting of Azerbaijani villages during the Minor Tyranny period was different from before, and the efforts of the opponents of the Constitutionalist regime to close the communication routes of Tabriz caused casualties and shortages in several villages, such as Sufian and Anakhatun
