Although there were fundamental differences between the social textures of Imams Sahabeh regarding rationality and Hadiths, there were some similarities between the two thought courses, mostly named as "Moaredh Stream"[Contrast stream]. This stream of thought which could be said to belong to the Shi'a majority, believed in the relationship between Imams and angels and a sort of non-prophetic inspiration or revelation for Imams; however, it controverted any exaggeration and superiority and preponderance about them. On the other hand, marginal streams could be regarded as outcomes of Hisham ibn Hakam and Mofazzal bin Omar opinions which had some followers in both Qom and Nishabur. It seems Qom and Nishabur, despite all their dissimilarities and differences, got to similar upshots regarding Imamate. Three thought lines were present in both cities: first that of the majority supported by the city scientific scholars and Faqihs, second, Hisham Hakam viewpoint and third, Mofazzal bin Omar standpoint. دو شهر قم و نیشابور ازجمله حوزه‌های مهمی بودند که از نیمه دوم قرن دوم به بعد و پس از افول حوزه کوفه، جمع کثیری از محدثان و اصحاب شیعی را در خود جای دادند. این دو مرکز در ترکیب اجتماعی صحابه ساکن آن‌ها، جهت‌گیری‌های عقل‌گرایی‌حدیث‌گرایی و ارتباط و تعامل با دیگر فرق اسلامی تفاوت‌های بسیاری داشتند؛ اما در باب مسائل مربوط به امامت، جریان‌های مشابهی در هر دو شهر وجود داشت. این دو شهر باوجود تمام تفاوت‌ها و اختلاف‌های بنیادینی که داشتند، درنهایت در باب امامت به نتایج مشابهی رسیدند و در هر دوی آن‌ها سه دیدگاه فکری حضور داشت: دیدگاه معروف به جریان اکثریت که رؤسای علمی شهر از آن حمایت می‌کردند، دیدگاه‌های پیروان هشام‌بن‌حکم و دیدگاه‌های پیروان مفضل‌بن‌عمر.<br /> این مقاله برآن است تا با بررسی تطورات تاریخ فکری امامت در قم و نیشابور، ضمن مقایسه آن‌ها با یکدیگر، جریان‌های حاضر در آن دو را در دوره حضور ائمه(ع) تا سال 260ق/874م بررسی کند.  https://jhr.ui.ac.ir/article_21680_386276a59c22032edd1e7b10971d3910.pdf
