They also played different roles in the continuation of the Safavid government through their positions as administrative officials, military commanders, governors of provinces, tutors of Safavid princes, and so forth. At some junctures, however, the influence and power of this tribe fell into decline as a result of tribal rivalries, or due to the policies of Safavid kings who contributed to the fluctuations of power. The present study tries to explain the roles of the Shamloos [that is, the fluctuation of power and their decline] in the founding and the continuation of Safavids and also the manner that they exerted power and influence in political and military development of the Safavid government from the beginning of this dynasty to the end of Shah Tahmasb I (1501-1576). Findings of the present study show that the Shamloos had an outstanding role in the establishment and the continuation of the Safavid government, and although their power sometimes fell into decline for some reasons, they managed to hold their important social and political status in the government and they even played a significant role in bringing Shah Abbas I to power. براساس آگاهی‌های تاریخی، شاملوها از بزرگترین و پرجمعیت‌ترین طوایف قزلباش بودند که در تأسیس دولت صفویه نقش چشمگیری داشته و در روند حیات دولت صفوی نیز با تصدی مناصب و مقامات اداری، امور فرماندهی نظامی، اداره ایالات، عهده‌داری امر لَلَگی شاهزادگان صفوی و غیره به ایفای نقش پرداختند. با این وجود در برهه‌هایی قدرت این طایفه دچار ضعف شد که رقابت‌های ایلی و سیاست‌های پادشاهان صفویه بر این نوسان قدرت تأثیر داشته است. این پژوهش به هدف بررسی نقش شاملوها در تأسیس و تداوم دولت صفویه و چگونگی وضعیت قدرت و نفوذ شاملوها ( نوسان شدت و ضعف قدرت آنان) در روند تحولات سیاسی و نظامی دولت صفویه از ابتدای تأسیس این سلسله تا پایان حکومت شاه طهماسب اول (984- 906ق.) سامان یافته است. یافته پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که شاملوها نقش مهم و برجسته‌ای در تأسیس و تداوم دولت صفوی داشته‌اند و هرچند که به سبب پاره‌ای عوامل، گاه منحنی قدرت آنان با شیب کاهشی همراه می‌شد اما در مجموع توانستند جایگاه سیاسی و اجتماعی خویش را در دولت حفظ کنند و حتی در روی کار آوردن شاه عباس اول نیز مؤثّر واقع شدند. . https://jhr.ui.ac.ir/article_16655_40241d53f61b94e03f6f365a00c768bb.pdf
